This looks very amusing and something I thought our folks here might be interested in.

Larry the LARPer follows our nerdy hero-in-waiting as he throws off the doldrums of his everyday life and navigates between newly discovered semi-reality and semi-fantasy worlds. Adventure, action, silliness and peril lurk around every corner as Larry explores his new Live Action Role Playing (LARPing) world and brings other willing and sometimes unsuspecting LARPers with him. We love Larry and his quirky cohorts, which is evident in the passion with which we tackle the series. The webseries is as enjoyable to watch as it is to make; the story is witty and engaging, and the action sequences are, well, action-packed.

Don't know what kickstarter is? It is pretty amazing. Crowd sourced funding for projects.

Quote:
Kickstarter is the world's largest funding platform for creative projects. Every week, tens of thousands of amazing people pledge millions of dollars to projects from the worlds of music, film, art, technology, design, food, publishing and other creative fields.

A new form of commerce and patronage. This is not about investment or lending. Project creators keep 100% ownership and control over their work. Instead, they offer products and experiences that are unique to each project.

All or nothing funding. On Kickstarter, a project must reach its funding goal before time runs out or no money changes hands. Why? It protects everyone involved. Creators aren’t expected to develop their project without necessary funds, and it allows anyone to test concepts without risk.

Each and every project is the independent creation of someone like you. Projects are big and small, serious and whimsical, traditional and experimental. They’re inspiring, entertaining and unbelievably diverse. We hope you agree... Welcome to Kickstarter!

While I'm skeptical about video of LARP, that intro video is pretty good....

yeah it does seem to be a lot more like a faire show than any sort of a larp.

Kickstarter is an amazing site.

I'm backing a project right now that's really close to hitting goal (for a company that creates soundscapes for online, live-action, and tabletop games).

It's a really great feeling to watch the numbers add up & know that you're helping a small business/indie artist achieve something fantastic!

My favortie websreies: Journeyquest is using kickstarter to fund their second season. It is a cool site.

PS- Journeyquest is done by the same guys who did Gamers and Gamers: Dorkness Rising. Check it out...it's really good!
